Shadow Lawn Mansion is a 90,000 sqft estate completed in 1927 by Hubert T. Parson and Maysie Parson. The original Shadow Lawn Mansion burnt to the ground after the couple purchased it to be their Jersey Shore summer cottage. To read the full history and see additional photographs, click here.

Shadow Lawn is located 1 mile from the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey. The fourth floor has views over the tree tops of the beaches near by.

Thanks for the pics. I spent two summers at Shadow Lawn in 1948-50. I remember it vividly and Dr. Lehman, too. Does the building still exist? I’d love to see it!
Yes they do! I took all those pictures this year. It serves as the English dept offices in the servants wing and the bedrooms are classrooms and offices. Most of my English classes were in this building. Monmouth university calls it Wilson Hall.
